2018-08-27 00:48:00 | I can't understand how someone can have their car stereo up so loud. We live one house up from the street and yet the sound of the bass booming away is annoying. How do they stand it?:annoyed: | Roscoe (6288) | |
2018-08-27 01:39:00 | Cos it's awesome with a good song on. ;) But if they open the windows, then they're annoying. | pcuser42 (130) | |

2018-08-27 21:50:00 | IHow do they stand it?:annoyed: they dont. They are sitting down in their car. Sorry, couldnt resist. it wont actually seem as loud to them . They will have a volume threshold shift from spending too much time in the car while thats going on. Same with `rock` band musicians, they get used to the loud volumes and dont perceive it as loud as the av Joe . Part of the reason live bands are often way too loud for the Average person . I guess its the same reason they love to do burnouts late at night . Young people, doing stupid things , allways have been since day 1. :)

2018-09-02 04:59:00 | I play bass guitar. I love the 'thump'. I'm 72 years old. I had my hearing tested, all but the very highest freqs are all good. My hearing tests better than normal for my age group. My wife says I don't hear her. I agree. It's plausible. No - it's probable. My wife hates music loud. We drive different cars pretty much everywhere. She likes it 'mortuary-quiet' all the time. I like Jazz and Blues. Popa Chubby is good and loud Stevie Ray Vaughn is good and loud. Bugs Henderson is good. Moderately loud. ZZ Top is very loud. I practice at home with full power - 800 Watts into 2 ported cabinets of 4-10" drivers each. There is no way to keep bass inside a building - it escapes all the time. If I practice with less power, I cannot tell if I get the sound I like or not. Thump. I love it.

How do they stand it?:annoyed: if your only hearing the bass then its not actually all that loud. bass notes travel very well, you will be able to hear it miles away. if you can hear all the notes of the music then its being played loud. |
