1450842 2018-06-25 08:34:00 An update on this issue.

I received a reply from Asus, which was as expected.
They suggested the same as you guys, which I had already done.

So I got back to them & explained all that.

The next email from them today was unexpected.

Thank you for your response, sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with your device. Please allow me to resolve your issue here.

Based from the troubleshooting, the device will need to come to an ASUS Authorised Service Centre for assessment. You will be contacted by the Service Centre, in relation to further RMA instructions.

If you would like to proceed, please reply to this email with the below information so I can validate the warranty and make a booking;

1. Proof of Purchase: (Could you please add the invoice as PDF format)
2. Customers Address:
3. Direct Contact Number:

Not quite sure how to proceed from here.
I suppose if decline their offer they will void the warranty

1450843 2018-06-25 22:19:00 They'd probably just re-image it haha, I doubt very much it's a hardware issue. If it was me at this point, I'd do a BIOS update, throw a new HDD in and clean install Windows, install the ATK utility and then the touchpad driver and see if it works. If it still doesn't, then pop the other drive back in and if they want to sort it out, they can go for gold. wratterus (105)
1450844 2018-06-25 23:18:00 Yeah I did consider a BIOS update, I think there is a later version. Always a bit reluctant to do those.
SWMBO seems to be getting a bit more familiar with it now.

1450845 2018-06-26 05:45:00 Have you tried going to settings/devices/touchpad/additional settings/advanced/advanced feature settings/gestures? KarameaDave (15222)
1450846 2018-06-26 08:59:00 I have and it does allow a lot of changes to be made to the touchpad functions.
But it doesn't access the software in the link of my first post.
I've given up on that for now. I did a BIOS update today and since then it seems to be a bit more user friendly.
It was the right mouse and scrolling that was the issue.
