| 1452751 | 2018-08-16 05:23:00 | On camper have a reversing camera quite a large one it has two video inputs, currently only using one it works fine. Scored another camera and want to connect it to the back of the boat trailer. I have a video cable long enough from the end of the boat trailer to do a join another from the screen at the back of the bus. This cable is cool as it has a red power wire attached to it so hooking up the 12vdc positive is no probs. Video cables are earthed or screened on the outside of the plug and I checked with my meter the outer part of the plug goes to earth obviously earthed somewhere up at the screen end. So could I just hook it up and hope the earth return for the camera will join up with the earth at the screen and work or will it Chernobyl something. Thanks for any help. |
