I have been having no end of trouble with them over the last 24 hours, and I haven' had a response from them in the last 14 hours basically I was shifting a site to new hosting with them, bought a dedcated ip, ssl cert, all set up and running ok the a few hours later the site vanished give a misconfigured error, went to my nodeworx account to see what had happened, and found the dedicated ip had vanished from it. Contacted them, and they asked me what I had done, so I told them, they said it looks to be a fault in their hosting software, and thats the last I heard from them. Today when I went to check, the siteworxs account for the site it returns a Could not connect to remote server error as does my nodeworxs account the only think I can login to is billing. and to really cap it all off, I had changed the domains DNS servers to point to the new site DNS servers and it propagated through, and i was able to view the new site, now when I type in the domain name the old site hosted elsewhere comes up, and yes i have checked with my domain registrar and the domains are pointed at the new sites DNS servers I am beyond incandescent, and to cap it all off I have two sick pre schoolers grizzling the background, and i sent them an email an hour ago and haven't heard back, for an up grade that was supposed to take a few hours this has taken over 24 and I have a grumpy customer whos online business is not working Osama, bomb, death to america, paris hilton naked, obama assassinate, jenny shipley bikini And that last line should catch the attention of the is govt who want to take over the net and may make them give nexcess a call, as well as various computer geeks and pervs Hmmm i wonder what ads google will serve on this page? |

Thats why I use and support NZ companies for web hosting . Never heard of the company either . |

I've been with my host since 2005, and never had any issues either. However some downtime is to be expected from time to time with any host, just due to the technology. I have found that the hosts that advertise on solely price, and use terms like low cost and cheap, are usually more unreliable, as they tend to cram thousands of accounts onto a single server. |

However some downtime is to be expected from time to time with any host, just due to the technology. Just to mention this. Personally I've never found the host down at all. This does not mean it has not been down ever. Some down time as you correctly say is to be expected for general maintenance. |

Some down time as you correctly say is to be expected for general maintenance. Yeah I know what you mean. If it is down for 10 minutes, you would probably never notice. Some webhosts do however give you a link to their alertra uptime stats. It is the extended outages that you notice, like if it is down for several days, like one NZ web host I know of who was down recently. |
