1111630 2010-06-19 14:28:00 Hi folks!
I have Windows 7 Home Edition but have found this a headache in most Windows versions.
When using Windows Explorer (or whatever the hell they're calling it now!!!) and viewing music (mp3) files, when I choose 'Details' what I want to see is the 'Name', 'Album', 'Length', 'Size' and 'Bit rate' columns only. I know I can right click on any of the column 'headers' and then choose what I want BUT......

Once I shut down or even leave that folder/drive the columns change back to something completely different.

So is there any way of making these folders remain as I left them? Make some sort of file (in Notebook??) so that the computer will perhaps read that file first then set the details as I require? Or is it a Registry Hack???

Regards,

1111632 2010-06-20 00:29:00 Are you viewing the folders in the Library section? All views get set the same there.

Try viewing from the drive letter option - mine allows different views per folder and these views are remembered.

You can choose to have Windows open all folders in the same way, as is happening now, or have windows remember each folders settings and use those settings each time you enter each individual folder - this is the option you want! It may be tedious to configure each folder if you have many, but it'll be the way you want it the next time you use it.
