819889 2009-10-13 22:37:00 One of my boys went AWOL when he was around 4 he wandered underneath the house.
I remember the fear building up as we searched for him. Always watched him like a hawk after that.
Other son never wandered quite happy to just blob out in his room.

819890 2009-10-13 23:06:00 The whole issue was blown out of all proportion by news media and speculation.

Sadly, it was a case of a combination of events that led to the death of Aisling on that day and at that time.

819891 2009-10-13 23:26:00 My son climbed up out of his cot, took a sideways leap onto the windowsill and proceeded to paint it with the contents of his nappy. neighbours in front noticed and came over as they thought he might fall through the glass in the window.

Could have too.

He was 13 months at the time.

Apparently when I was 2 I made several trips to the primary school and went into class to join my older brother. It involved crossing a fairly busy road.

And once after pretending all morning also at 2, really went to the vege shop. My mother had been frantically looking all over for me - at the school, local dairy, then went down the MAIN rd to the vege shop - and yep here I was nearly there about to cross the major road.

Little kids are very very good at taking off and doing all sorts of things in a split second.

As with this girl in the news, she was watching her mum undo the washing machine, mum was checking her, a few seconds and she had gone........
