Scum don't have the same code of conduct like military people and will dob other scum in even inadvertently. A tip given anonymously could be just the intelligence they need to take some scum out of circulation Some police are dopey enough to use alcohol and then drive whilst telling the public that they should not. Some police have been caught with porn etc. Some police have been caught selling information to debt collectors. Some police have been done for rape and other offences. Some people judge others just because of racial origins. Some people judge by making choices when shopping which I think we all do. Please note that this is only a minority and does not include all police or for that matter the public in general. I see, many a time on this forum, that people have to use Linux or drive a Ford or whatever and etc. Possibly some posts are tongue in cheek. Opinions are simply opinions and are not known for a fact. And also I have to worry about the words used in news media where they come up with "at risk" like the sheep are at risk if it snows. Or the cattle are at risk when there might be flooding as reported today. And also people may be at risk if they get to sea level to watch the Tsunami. No worries though as a the ACC will pay for people that survive the incoming flood. The rest of us would not go there would we? |

Need to look around, the world is an ugly, hateful, corrupt, immoral, deceitful, cruel and very dirty place. And people are as you said only human. I am sure smoking can be seen are more evil than porn. And surely there are more people who regularly view porn than smokes, hell the same can be said about alcohol too. This ain't la la land, welcome to the show. Edit: It's drugs and crime that hurt us, not porn. Let's get back to the issue. |

You send them to prison for a week, to meet new people and get a few tips. And in a week they are back in business with even more contacts and ideas. Until and unless crims are locked away and the key is thrown down a volcano, it won't change a thing. |

Of course child and animal porn is the exception. Just like guns are legal in NZ and machine guns aren't its a question of degree. |
