You call police tax collectors then don't call them when your wife is getting raped or your house has been burgled. I. You expect them to come.,. Your dreaming. Hampton Downs is going to be hiring out their track to such groups I hear. Then again how do you get the bikes there? ACC is a big typical bureaucratic bloated organization that cant control costs. Years ago I opted out of ACC and went private. It was much cheaper but those old socialists Clark and Cullen decided they wanted their hands on all the loot and put a stop to it. | 820402 | 2009-10-15 06:25:00 | Do the ACC cost figures include Motocross bikes etc that in many cases don't need to be registered or do the Motocross bikes get charged ACC thru the clubs. It could be that road bikes are cross subsidising here in a big way.:annoyed: road bikes rego is paying for all the quad/offroad bikes. off road accidents(farms) are classed as motorcycle accidents. so I have been told, could be wrong |

However, the system in place gives cover for so many people and the cost has ballooned to such an extent, that ACC has no choice but to increase charges or stop paying out. It’s that simple I believe there should be total cover for fixing the injuries and rehabilitation, but a capped amount for covering loss of income. As usual in NZ, the pool of payers to the system is being heavily outweighed by the claimants on the system. I don’t believe for one second that private insurers would do a better job. They have to produce a profit for their shareholders and pay tax before they have a pool of money to pay out to claimants. The ACC organisation would seem to need a total rethink. And for the record, in my 50 odd years, I have never had an ACC claim but I have paid a lot for myself and employees. |

What has happened in the past the ACC has quite rightly declined to fund people because they dont qualify. What happens next is the stupid media hit up on the ACC and make them out to be a pack of ****s So if I was fuhrer of NZ these people would get the arse Any crooks having an accident during a crime Any thing to do with self harm or suicide Any sickness or long term illness gone burger No payouts for any mental condition Cars to pay ACC account for damage to motorcyclists Reduced help to people who did stupid things to cause accident A close watch on serial bad backs A certain period on ACC then you are on your own jack. Reduce operating costs by heaps by reducing salaries and cars Pyshio will done at home with instructions from a vid. |
