| 1112390 | 2010-06-24 10:22:00 | Cheers guys. Yeah its Ethernet cable directly from the back of the printers to the router. Have got it working on my computer which has a wireless lan card so far. Should it be available on the network freely or does it have to be installed on every computer or something? To be noted, I installed the 64bit drivers and some of the computers entering the network may not be 64bit. |

| 1112391 | 2010-06-24 10:31:00 | If its a networked Printer Via the router, generally you have to go to each PC and install it. Depending on the OS it may auto detect, but generally not. Once you set the IP address on the printer, and its on the same IP as the router range the rest is easy, just a simple matter of pointing the PC's at the right printer address. I have two networked Printers - both went on with out any problems and thats a mixture of XP vista and W7 PC's. If you have more than one Network printer, make sure the IP's are different for each one. Mine for example are 192.168.1.110 & 192.168.1.125 Generally speaking Re the 64bit drivers, 32 bit will be more common than 64. The printer shouldn't really care, as long as the right drivers are installed for the right OS, Eg: 64 bit on 64 Bit OS's and 32 on32 bit OS's. |
