Win 7 does not give the option to format. Errrrrr did you follow the instructions I posted before #8 -- IT DOES.

Boot from the DVD - Click Install -- Select Custom you then get This Window (www.imagef1.net.nz) -- As circled in Red on the right bottom, select Drive options(advanced).

On the Next Window, you select the drive - then Click Format (www.imagef1.net.nz) -- Sure looks like the option to format to me. (which it does)

When I click that button I get the options, Repair or Install. Nothing about format.
Is it the SSD? Doesn't need formatting?

1111925 2010-07-01 05:20:00 To be honest, never worked with the SSD HDD's -- still to damn expensive for what you get and the "performance increase". ;) "Maybe" W7 refused to show the options for some other reason -- Who Knows ??

Found This article (club.myce.com) - #2 kind of advises.

What about delete, can you delete the partition?

You did boot off the Windows 7 DVD etc yes?

Yes SSDs need formatting
