820135 2009-10-13 19:37:00 Lots of nz sports people (male) when interviewed start with "yeah nah...."That's a typical Kiwi-ism. Although I think "yeah, nah, yeah" is a bit more usual. Greg (193)

I've told you a million times- don't exagerate.

820137 2009-10-14 21:58:00 One of my pet hates is sports people who keep saying "you know" every few words throughout the interview.

No I don't bloody know.

820138 2009-10-14 22:02:00 I think....it's a little giveaway in that they aren't being honest with themselves but they want you to think they are.

Another saying that became the rage after the show Californication (en.wikipedia.org(TV_series)) is "it's all good", which pretty much means all is FUBAR but I'm not yet admitting it.

We used that phrase all the time as teenagers. That was well before Californication started.

Call me precious, but it's like hearing a fingernail scraped down a blackboard (yes, I know that gives my age away) or finding a piece of foil in your mouth when eating chocolate.
