819334 2009-10-11 09:31:00 I can live with the ads, They pay for the broadcast, and that was some arse kicking motor racing.

I'm still bitter about not getting any F1, Pay TV sucks balls.

819335 2009-10-11 09:45:00 And Sky's F1 coverage this year has been ad free too - wonderful stuff :) :) :) Zippity (58)
819336 2009-10-11 09:58:00 If you had ads on when ch 7 did you would complain even more cause ch7 do and have had ad beaks within 2 mins of each other in a 10 to 15 min period.
There were times today when the ch7 commentary went to a break but tv3 stayed with the race while the aussies were on theres.

if it weren't for ads you wouldn't be able to see the race at all and im sure thats not what us race fans want, Tv3's budget is way smaller than skys but sky don't show it cause tv3 have the rights for 5 years so wait and see what happens then maybe sky will place a better bid next time.

If we had the ads when channel 7 did at least when we got back to the racing the Ch 7 commentators would of said if we had of missed something, not like when the TV3 ad break had finished, nothing was said about what we had missed, which is my point. I know that we have got to have ads.

You can watch it free online.

It doesn't matter much when the race starts at 2am monday mornings. I've seen more qualifying sessions in the past year than races.

819339 2009-10-11 19:13:00 Justin TV had a feed from channel 7 (Aus),still had ad breaks but not as many as TV3 (Ad's were better as well than TV3). Just when TV3 had their news break was the most intense part of the race,TV3 missing the prize giving was inept Lawrence (2987)
819340 2009-10-11 19:35:00 If TV3 did away with the 3 presenters they had which I presume they paid them 6 or 7 hours of wages, who did bugger all and just used the Ch 7 ones, perhaps they wouldn't need so many ad breaks.

Who cares?? They are both Australian made cars. It would be more interesting if they opened it up to the rest of the world ....but I suspect that the Ozzy cars would then come last .. Thought that they may have had one of GMAU nice new Ozz made Chevy Caprice police specials that they are trying to sell to the US police forces as a pace card.. Saw one on TV in Melbourne last week. Looked quite nice..

I think they were talking about that a while back, trying to figure out a way to keep it all running despite the 'recession' and high fuel costs... it'd be more like the European touring car circuit. Stipulations - $400,000 on the car, naturally aspirated V8, 4 door sedan.

The Aussies would get their arses handed to them by the Germans!

819343 2009-10-11 20:01:00 Yeah I'm not a Holden or Ford person either. I watch the race for the drivers. I think a few years ago there was rumor of a Jap make V8 car was going to enter. Don't know what happened to that.
