Most Monday mornings are slow for a while, I guess they crank things up during the day. GreacherTech, we are connected to Telecom at Mt Maunganui, even though we live on the Tauranga side. When we first moved here there was no room at the Telecom Tauranga system and to have the phone connected it had to be done that way. I am not sure whether you are the same at Welcome Bay. |

We're moving to 4th ave this weekend coming so i'm hoping that being closer to the exchange will boost up our speed a bit but no guarentee's, if not i'm going to pay the $200 cancellation fee and just sign up with orcon lol |

Get 17mb+ down and 0.8mb up - I'm happy with those speeds. I've never been with Xtra so can't comment first-hand, but I have heard of a number of people in the area who have slow speeds on Xtra. Marnie sorry to say but I blame Telecom. We're moving to 4th ave this weekend coming so i'm hoping that being closer to the exchange will boost up our speed a bit but no guarentee's, if not i'm going to pay the $200 cancellation fee and just sign up with orcon lol Don't count on it - we used to live in CBD (moved from Hairini) and our speeds went down... at the time we were 2mb (our plan was 2mb max), went to about 1.3mb (full-speed plan lol) when we moved... slowly came up again, but apparently it had something to do with being a very old part of town. Were happy when we moved from CBD to Merivale to 5-6mb at first, and now 17mb Mike. |
