1111644 2010-06-19 22:56:00 Hi,

When I installed operating system (Windows 7 home Premium) in my computer, I only have a drive C.

Currently, I would like to create another partition, let's say drive D.

Would it possible to create a new drive (drive D) without reinstalling operating system?

Cheers,

windows.microsoft.com
(this mentions Vista but AFAIK Win7 is the same).
Good idea to back up your data first.

1111646 2010-06-20 00:02:00 The current drive D: is likely to be a CD/DVD drive. As mentioned you can shrink the current drive and create another partition. You would also have to change the letter for the CD/DVD drive to E: or higher in order to use D: for the new partition. Sweep (90)
