| 1113196 | 2010-06-24 22:42:00 | Hi guys, I am having problems with my wireless network which I hope you can help me with. It is configured using a Dynalink 502t modem and a dynalink 524 wireless router but the internet connection keeps cutting out (but the network stays fine). I run a windows network diagnostic (Win 7 64bit) and it comes up with a couple of issues - 1st the connection is broken somewhere; and 2nd, the Network Gateway is configured wrong. It claims to fix the latter and for about 2 min I have internet again. Then it cuts out. Is there a more permanent fix to the Network Gateway issue? Also, a PC running XP is connected via cable to the router and works fine. No problems there. Also, there appears to be no obvious break in the connection. Help! It is kinda nice to have the interent for more than 2 min a pop. Thanks |

| 1113197 | 2010-06-24 22:53:00 | Newsflash - I think the problem is that both the Network Gateway and Modem ip is 10.1.1.1 - perhaps this is causing a conflict. Or are they supposed to be the same? Thanks |

| 1113198 | 2010-06-24 23:30:00 | The modem is your gateway, so that is correct...why are you running a wireless router\access point and modem?, which device is serving DHCP to clients? | SolMiester (139) | ||
| 1113199 | 2010-06-25 06:31:00 | It is configured using a Dynalink 502t modem and a dynalink DI524 wireless router Both of these are made by D-Link (not Dynalink, different company). |
