821140 2009-10-16 10:59:00 I like my Vista machine better than all my XP machines.
And I like it better than the Win7 RC on the same machine.
Does any one else feel that Win7 is a retrograde step?:2cents:

821141 2009-10-16 11:15:00 I'm sticking with Vista unless I could get free/cheap upgrade to W7. qazwsxokmijn (102)
821142 2009-10-16 11:27:00 I did try the RC of Win7, it didnt last long enough. I removed it. I may get it when I can afford it. Vista x64 is good enough for now. At least everything works (so far). I spose Win7 would be good, if you use a touch screen or something. Speedy Gonzales (78)

821144 2009-10-16 17:38:00 Never owned Vista, so it is an easy choice for me. The Win 7 beta was shaky, the RC seems reasonable but very bloated. It demands a lot of grunt just to run the OS.

For me, Vista was just an annoyance at every step of the path, so I treated it like a poke in the eye and avoided it. I am looking forward to getting the whole Win 7 Service Pack, Collector's Edition 5 DVD set. ;)

821146 2009-10-16 19:20:00 I'm sticking with Vista until I can afford an upgrade (not likely). pcuser42 (130)
821147 2009-10-16 19:46:00 I never had Vista anyway and my XP is getting a bit flaky so have built a new comp and getting Win 7 for it. Old comp is going to get Linux on it and possibly turned into a server or media machine can't make up my mind yet gary67 (56)
