Thats the common black screen of death. One of your reg files setting have been changed , either by a program installed, Malware, Update or something didn't work the way it should. One fix that works quite well: restart the PC, keep tapping F8 , once the menu appears, select Repair my computer -- let it run through and hopefully it will now restart normally. If it dosn't,boot from your Windows 7 DVD, or the recovery cd you should have made. if you dont have one, you can download it from This site (neosmart.net). Boot from the CD -- once booted, select use recovery tools to repair ----- ( top option) Select start up repair, follow on screen instructions. IF it still wont boot normally, boot from the CD again, this time select system restore - wind the system back a day or two to the time it was going OK. IF it still wont boot there are other options as well. |

| 1113191 | 2010-06-25 06:47:00 | Ok who closed the original thread instead of just moving it I just went to move the thread (notified via reported post) and found it locked afterwards. I thought I had hit the wrong button until I found this thread and your comment. I've opened the closed thread and merged it into this one. Yours confused. |
