| 1112489 | 2010-06-24 23:11:00 | The same with 'Views" i want to change the default view(icons) and keep it "details" If you're on Win9x/2000/XP, that's easy: In Windows Explorer, select the Details view as you normally would. To apply it system wide - click Tools -> Folder Options -> View. Click on Apply to all Folders. I assume it works with web folders - I always disable them :yuck: Win7 also has the folder options in Explorer, but it doesn't apply the view in the same way when you apply to all folders. You need to Customise the type of folder (eg. pictures or documents or general items etc) and apply that system wide. As for Explorer remaining the same size, I don't think i've ever managed to make Windows Explorer open in the size I want in all the versions of Windows i've used. You should be able to open it, resize as you want and choose an option like remember position (as in a number of other apps). It's something that's been sorely lacking and still isn't fixed in Win7. |
