I realise this is not internet related but I cannot understand why it is so hard for people to hang the bath mat over the bath when they are finished using it. I don't leave the mat all soggy for other people to walk on after I have been in there.

Unless you live in a doss-house that has only one bathroom I would have thought that the target of your complaint was fairly limited in number and could be dealt with by a short, sharp kick.

I second the rest of your ramblings.

822096 2009-10-21 20:35:00 Google

When I was young and I wanted to know something, I was beaten for being too inquisitive. That's the problem with the young people today, they have a google answer for everything. If they had to walk to their local library every time they had something stupid to ask they would ask a lot less stupid questions.

Google gives information ... not knowledge ... :p

But it still makes a good research starting point.

Then you only have to find the one page that actually is relevant out of the results returned.

822100 2009-10-21 23:51:00 i reckon its the same old.. is the glass half full or half empty...
i wouldnt complain about the internet... i find something, useful, entertaining, enlightening or just plain good fun on it everyday.....
maybe pctek needs a nice glass of plonk or something to cheer himself up... worrying about the bathmat is so sad... go to the warehouse, buy twenty and have a clean dry one everytime you shower...it doesnt have to be a problem.
I just totally love the internet... this site has helped me so much with all my silly damn bits and pieces...what about a thread on everything we LOVE about the internet.

Well spotted. That's it, into the garbage with the dictionary and the encyclopedia too, they can get wasted along with google. The atlas is next.

You are the one without a sense of humour. I didn't write it and it's a JOKE. Laugh.
An element of truth in it, but it's still HUMOUR! You go have a glass of plonk.

pctek is a lady... and a very nice helpful one as well. She just happens to know what an idiot writes like on the net!

Please don't go on about the net being a learning curve. It seems a lot of addicts have picked up bad punctuation from online reading :p
