2009-10-16 19:47:00 | Me!!! At least until I need a new pc, I want to bypass vista. My brain isn't totally immersed in things IT and I am very grateful for help and ideas from those who's knowledge exceed mine in this field. ***Cicero Re: So, who is planning on sticking with XP? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We must move with times. Apart from modern art, that is.*** Or move to enhance our bank account.

2009-10-16 20:42:00 | I've got Win 7 Pro on order, even as we speak. I think it's great:cool: | jcr1 (893) | |
2009-10-16 20:42:00 | Always want the latest myself, haven't been on XP for a few years now. Question isn't whether to get seven, it's whether to continue my policy of upgrading hardware when I get a new OS. This hardware still goes very well so may be no need to upgrade this time. | Twelvevolts (5457) | |
2009-10-16 20:43:00 | I may upgrade to 7 on my desktop next time I replace the motherboard/cpu/ram,which will probably happen in the next few months. Or not. Doubt I'll ever change the OS on my laptop or media PC.

One item is the faster user desktop, the moment ( 2-3 seconds) after it appears I can start working with it, not like XP -wait for things to load, even on a fresh install. Even Vista is slow in that aspect. |
