| 821936 | 2009-10-19 05:16:00 | Ha. So it turns out if you make an anonymous tip to the cops, they'll mention it on the news and try and hunt you down. Am I missing something or what? And in fact his identity has been revealed to people. What are the chances something will happen to said person? That kinda brakes confidence in police. If they treat people like this, no one will ever come forward if they will be identified to god-knows-who. Thoughts? (This is ref to the murder of that prostitute that was on TV3 news) |

Or for that matter get a judge to sign off on a subpoena/summons or whatever is the right term for them. They aren't lawyers or doctors, he could be forced to give records of their calls. And if they don't keep records, telecos will. Even private numbers can be easily tracked, and in the worst case scenario it'll go down to deductive logic. So unless the government and/or police make written promises I wouldn't dare call it. This is the kind of **** that ruins innocent people's lives. You make a complaint about the twat cooking meth next door and they'll be sure to know it was you. What would the bros who lost a million bucks say about that? |

Go nark on the Black Powers or the Mongrel Mob or the Honey Bees and let the police tell them it was you. You won't be super, you'll just be super cold. Isn't it better to form a vigilante club, arm ourselves and just take care of these bad people? I'm sure arming 10 guys would be far cheaper and more effective than setting up a call center or forwarding calls to merry old england. Pig/duck hunters by day, p hunters by night. :p |
