2010-06-28 12:29:00 | I've now had 4 people contact me in varying parts of Auckland with ADSL connectivity issues, all centering around regular & frequent disconnections from Vodafone. I'm too tired to ring, but thought I'd see if anybody else was having these issues. I know of two people in Te Atatu, somebody in Mt Roskill, so it's not just a single place that's got the fault. ..that is, if you can get online to see this post and respond :devil

2010-06-28 12:34:00 | I had two disconnections this morning from vodafone, although a friendly call from a vodafone mod is helping me fix my other network issues :) | 8ftmetalhaed (14526) | |
2010-06-28 12:54:00 | Hmm I wonder if thats related or not? Oh well, I'll keep it in mind, thanks :)

2010-06-28 22:49:00 | I was having problems last night as well. Sites would load a small chunk & stop, reloading them didn't always work. It wasn't disconnecting me from the net, just bandwidth was intermittent. Seemed ok this morning though.

2010-06-29 00:31:00 | Chill, I have frequent disconnections and have been for well over 12 months. I rung Vodafone(Ihug) on several occasions but generally don't get anywhere with them. Disconnections seem endemic :) Just had another 5 mins ago and another as I wrote this!! | smurf (6545) | |
2010-06-29 04:20:00 | If I were you smurf, I'd be ringing up the Helpdesk and doing something about it. Turns out all the issues were totally unrelated, but a very interesting coincidence: One wasn't actually with Vodafone and just needed to restart their router One has home wiring issues that seem to have been getting progressively worse One had a faulty filter One had an overheating modem Funny ...

2010-06-29 07:55:00 | Thanks Chill and nedkelly. Yep will persevere with Vodafone. Ned...I don't think it is overheating, it happens anytime day or night and has been happening for well over a year now.Sometimes it drops and then reconnects itself without intervention from me. On other occasions I unplug the modem/router and wait for 20secs and plug it back in and away we go :) | smurf (6545) | |
