1114122 2010-06-29 14:35:00 If you're gaming you still mightn't want to even cheap out on the case. Smaller, cheaper ones generally run a bit hotter and so can be a bit heavy on the power in the long run, aswell as your equipment. My case would be perfect (imo) for a budget pc, since the psu is a fairly decent brand (coolermaster, of course), enough for a 5770 (ati recommends 450w or more, i believe) and it is a very well cooled and ventilated case.

edit ^^ it's also $10. I bought pc mags almost religiously until I realised how much they were costing me. All my magazines probably could have paid for a new pc loooong ago.

It probably is, but I prefer to read computer news and reviews online where I get them quicker, don't have to pay for them, and there are more of them.

1114124 2010-06-30 06:05:00 Okay. No cheap case. How is this one then, it's coolmaster www.computerlounge.co.nz Yukrato (14866)
1114125 2010-06-30 06:10:00 A cheap case is fine as long as it's got good cooling, even if it doesn't, you can always modify it ;)

My case is cheap, but I cut a few holes out, added some extra fans, it works great.

Of course, that Coolermaster is a good choice anyway...

Are we talking about PC World? Cause it isn't. Go take a lookat Atomic MPC.
Even then I don't agree with all their hardware likes.

Corsair, Antec or Enermax for PSU. Some silverstone is OK, some aren't.

1114128 2010-06-30 08:08:00 Be nice, norton is fine. Sure it used to be a bit resource heavy but it was still a great anti virus. Still is, although it's a bit lighter now.

In any case (lol) that gladiator is a brilliant case. Although have you noticed I've suggested it for the past 3 pages?
Anyway. My pc heats up to around 50 degrees max, averages anywhere between 25-30 degrees. It's got a nice fan up top as an exhaust and the front fan serves as an intake. It is a bit big, I had to take one draw outta my computer desk to fit it, but the space is nice. Just watch your motherboard size and orientation of your sata ports. Mine has 6gb/s sata ports but unfortunately they are ever so slightly obscured by the 5.25" drive bays, as they are right angled.
