823834 2009-10-25 01:09:00 That $90 / Hour is what I charge - well officially any way, but in reality I dont often do, I usually go in 1/4 hour segments after the first 30 Minutes.

It also depends on what needs to be done, how long I'm there, how far I have to travel etc.

If it's back at the workshop, I usually quote a fixed price, as 90% of the time you cant do anything while scans are running, and I can have 3-4 PC's all working at different stages at once.

Their site, as others have mentioned needs fixing - no point in having damn pictures without working links.

I charge $75.

And flat fee for workshop fixes which is mostly.

I can't be bothered counting 10 mins, 15 mins, whatever. There is a minimum, usually $45 depending on whether I like them or not.

Anything taking less than 11 minutes or diagnosis only is free.

823839 2009-10-25 04:20:00 Fixed neighbour's laptop and got a free haircut and some paint for my garden furniture. But then, I am not a qualified tech and don't charge.

823842 2009-10-25 06:59:00 Have done the Exchange of services bit a couple of times.

One lady, I always give a huge discount, free if its only a quick job -- She always has a HUGE home made chocolate cake waiting when she calls that she makes and gives to me Hmmmm :drool

823843 2009-10-25 07:14:00 I've done quite a few jobs and taken baking as payment.

Its excellent value imo.
