823541 2009-12-13 03:18:00 Once you have it clean, there is an outfit called "Shower Crew" (at least in Auckland) and their vans advertise on the sides or back a process to put on to the shower which they claim keeps it really clean, cutting majorly back on the cleaning required after.

I don't know how good the process is, but may be worth checking as they seem to be a reputable company. They redid the seal on one of our showers.

823542 2009-12-13 03:49:00 Sounds a bit like Vitro glaze, from the same guy here who does shower domes, not sure how good it is but his business is booming. I installed hi kitchen for him as his wife got fed up with waiting for him to have time to do it gary67 (56)

823545 2009-12-13 05:50:00 Car polish will work as it has a mild abrasive in it, less abrasive than Jif. I take scratches out of Cds DVDs with car polish.

Also has wax in it, so do you think that would remove the scum from his shower?

823547 2009-12-13 19:43:00 No, but the abrasive will.

823548 2009-12-14 00:18:00 When all else fails, stainless steel wool used with "discretion" will remove stubborn scale on glass shower doors and panels.

It does not have to be top quality aircraft grade steel, just ordinary low grade stainless, like the stuff Joe was on about will do :dogeye:

Does with discretion mean avoid scratching, how exactly do we avoid this?
