| 823405 | 2009-10-23 08:45:00 | Cato - you're right. I don't know any more about the govt's plans than what is in the media, and by the sounds of it any privatisation plan will be on an opt-out basis (where you're covered by ACC unless you specify otherwise), rather than making everyone find their own insurance. This is an issue I'd like to hear more rational debate about from both sides, rather than the mudslinging, scaremongering, and outright lying some politicians seem to be resorting to. ??????? Do you expect truthful honest debate?. Or the usual mudslinging? The more "Noise" the public make against privitation the more likely they will back down. Till next time. How many on this Forum would opt out of the ACC & go Private? Would somebody who knows how to... put up a Poll. Please. Thanks. PJ |

PJ I would like to see truthful, honest debate, but politicians being politicians I'm not particularly hopeful of that ever happening. |

Where are all the National voters now? I thought life was going to be easier under them (Tui moment) Yeah right! | gary67 (56) | ||

| 823411 | 2009-10-24 04:21:00 | I trust the National party and its leader to do the best they can in a difficult environment and to fix problems caused by the scum labor party. ACC problems were caused by the labor party so if you have cause to complain about the actions required to fix it see fil gof and his mates. I am different to a lot of people here I was born here, on my fathers side 1840 into Nelson and mothers side 1913. I don't have a foreign passport to run when things get too hard. I trust the National party as the party for business, farmers and conservatives. |

So you are perfectly fine with the idea of the top corporates earning 31% salary increases (eg. the head of NIWA, to a total of +-$500k PA) while the rest of us working folk are being asked to take wage reductions whilst prices skyrocket? I am not a fan of Labour, but nor am I a fan of the corporate ubermenschen that seem to be taking over this country at the expense of everyone else. |

Why did your parents leave where they were born? Growing up as a West Aucklander, I wonder how you and me ended up so differently politically wise. I've learn't that they're all reasonably even, since they have the other parties balance them out. And all the Parties do stuff up. I reckon we can't even get you to mention three mistakes National have made. |
