2010-06-27 08:25:00 | This lap top I have running Vista Business has a built in web cam. How do you turn it on or otherwise operate it? I have used it in the past but dont remember how now. It works fine if I access it while on Skype so it is operational. Thanks in advance.

It may or may not let you access it through control panel / devices and cameras? Cant remember I'm not using Vista atm | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

2010-06-28 23:03:00 | Thanks for the suggestions.Nothing worked and I even Googled up a couple of more. I seem to remember that controls would appear at the top of the screen if I moved the cursor to the right place. Will put it aside for the moment and maybe call Toshiba later.

2010-06-28 23:36:00 | My Satelllite Pro used to have a camera wizard type app as mentioned by CliveM but it got turfed out with the rest of the Toshiba bloatware. Yours has probably dissapeared the same way. You don't need it anyway, as you said it will still work with Scype. Will still work with MSN Messenger too. | Driftwood (5551) | |
2010-06-29 06:20:00 | Ok, played around on the Toshiba site and found that camera problems are very common. At the suggestion of one writer I sourced and downloaded a new driver and operating programme and after installing it found it was in Russian. Someone obviously changed a few settings while I was over there. Then I couldnt uninstall the programme. Eventually after trying all methods I got rid of it, instaalled the new programme and every thing is just fine. Even get the controls when I run the cursor down the left side of the sceen. Many thanks to alll the tried to help.
