1115488 2010-07-02 22:26:00 Any good FREE decoder to convert MP3 files so that I can burn them to CDs?

Can Nero handle this task? I've got Nero 8.

Cheers

1115489 2010-07-02 22:30:00 cdburnerxp can burn them to cd. But do you want it as an MP3 cd, (whatever you want to play it in, will have to support MP3) or an an audio cd?? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1115490 2010-07-02 22:36:00 Yes Nero will burn Audio CD's from Mp3. Just make sure you select audio CD when choosing type of disk to burn.

If you choose data CD you will get a MP3 CD. This can be better as you can include many hours of music on one CD, but your player needs to support MP3 CD's. If you player does not have MP3 compatible or similar on the front of it. It wont play them.

1115491 2010-07-02 22:51:00 Thanks folks, used Nero to burn and it works perfectly. I could play those MP3s from my car's CD player. :thanks:thumbs: bk T (215)
1115492 2010-07-02 22:51:00 I use burnaware free that does it as well MP3 to audio CD gary67 (56)
1115493 2010-07-03 05:40:00 I use a few burning programs for trial and error,e.g. free audio burner, final burner free, burning mill express, etc, and all are pretty good. I suspect many free programs use essentially the same open source burning engines.

But I learnt to never use those "bulk pack" cheap CD's. Some formed "flake" spots, despite never been played. I think storage and environment are important for MP3 CD storage.

1115495 2010-07-03 08:29:00 You have obviously had no problems but for others reading this thread it helps to perform the burn at your burner's slowest speed as some CD players are unable to play music CDs burnt at fast speeds. This is particularly relevant for older players. FoxyMX (5)
