| 1114992 | 2010-07-01 05:47:00 | Um I'm looking to get a graphics card but I'm not sure which of these ones is best value because I don't have that much money. My options are: www.computerlounge.co.nz www.computerlounge.co.nz pbtech.co.nz I want to be able to at least play CoD MW2 on medium to high settings. Any help or comments would be great. Thanks. |

I have a 5470 in this laptop, and it runs l4d2, albeit shakily, at medium settings and 1368*768 res. To get consistent 50-60 fps I have to cut all the settings to their lowest values and 1024*600. Still looks alright, but compared to my 5770 on my desktop, the differences are very noticeable. While my laptop has only half the ram, adding an extra 2 gb would not yield as much of a boost as a better gpu would have done. In any case, the 4850 might be a decent idea. It was a decent card for a long while, despite lacking dx 11, is still probably enough for mid setts on mwf2. If you can save just a bit more money though, getting a better gpu will yield immense performance increases over your current options. Anyway, what's your current setup like, and what res are you playing at? |

| 1114998 | 2010-07-01 09:03:00 | Probably not the 5450 I'm a little disappointed in my 5450. While editing in PremierePro this card can't or won't render most transitions for live preview. Whereas my old 8600GT did. Don't know how that translates to gaming |
