The project is entirely community-based . The thread to the project: . gpforums . co . nz/thread/371274/" target="_blank">www . gpforums . co . nz If you would like to be part of the project, please feel free to PM one of the project members (listed in the thread) . Thanks . Thats a good idea . When a businesses take over that type of website, it can become biased, as stores that pay more, will get better exposure . I love this answer, taken from the pricespy website . It appears they are bagging NZ broadband for the site loading problems . Remember they are now owned by an overseas company, and it shows by the answer they gave, so it is basically an offshore company bagging NZ . Not a good way to win NZ fans . Q: "The site is slow" A: We are working on improving the performance . We were familiar with the fact that New Zealand has high internet penetration, but compared to other countries lower broadband penetration . Based on the discussions we have had with several stores in New Zealand, who have quite broadband intensive sites as well, and with our hosting company, we did not believe the site would be that slow for most users . I should not be if you have a decent internet connection . The site consists of much more information than before and therefore takes longer to load . We are working on optimizing the CPU intensive javascripts . An alternative could be to go to your user setting page (click on “Signed in as . . . ” , then select “ My profile”) and reduce the number of products to load per page to 200 . This will speed up the loading of a page if you have low speed internet connection . |

Such a site, if it also included house hold appliances, could become as big and as valuable as trademe. I wonder what would happen if some offshore company came in and offered $500 million for it, who would they buy it off, or would they legally be able to copy the site, and create their own. |

Its up to them to make a product that suits the intended market, If they have a bloated and slow site that doesn't work great in NZ conditions, Yet is targeted primarily at the NZ market.....***. Someone needs a flying elbow. I salute their future failure, Only used their site over the last few years to ensure I'm not paying a disproporinate amount for an item. Chasing the cheapest products through Pricespy has been a fools game for years. |

| 825546 | 2009-11-08 02:00:00 | Seriously? But everything on Web Archive is at least a year out of date... What sort of an archive are they running? We demand up-to-the-second archives with none of that old stuff! Get the gnomes to purge the files immediately, nothing older than two minutes. ;) It must all be gone by lunchtime. |

| 825547 | 2009-11-14 12:25:00 | It looks like a direct adaption of that company's Swedish equivalent of Pricespy at http://www.prisjakt.nu/ . | GoodHour (12218) | ||
| 825548 | 2009-11-14 20:14:00 | It is. In fact, they are both owned by the same people | Agent_24 (57) | ||
