825605 2009-10-30 16:30:00 I read that article this morning ,and immediately dismissed it as piffle, Piffle written by an Apple fanatic trying their best not to let it show.

If it were on paper it would rank slightly below used toilet paper.

825606 2009-10-30 19:23:00 Well your average home pc will be controlling your kitchen, communicating with your fridge so that as stuff gets used it is added to your shopping list which is then auto emailed to your online supplier.

I installed a kitchen recently and the woman had no recipe books just a touch screen comp and all her recipes stored on the house server or she could get them from the net, and that's just one part of the house don't forget internet TV and your media server all will be integrated in the future

825608 2009-10-30 23:07:00 Does that mean you have to keep your hands kinda clean? If so, not my idea of cooking... the_bogan (9949)

Maybe.

You can imagine it, "Dave, you requested the F'ing knife. In order to do this, please place the knife above the artery..."

825612 2009-11-18 01:22:00 Hell, I've been doing many projects with Premier Pro CS3, Just "trialled" the latest (CS4) and its unusable,Just trying to edit a short clip was just not happening, if I wanted to use it I would need to replace most of my PC.

Correction.

My old methods of preparing video clips do not work with high definition media, It results in a file that chokes the editing suite and the resulting encoded file is broken.

When the footage is loaded directly into Premiere Pro it handles it perfectly fine, In fact it seems to be using very few resources as I am able to work with a large amount of clips with zero slowdown and have even had other apps running with no problem.

The final encoding takes time, But that's expected.

Voice control for the Kitchen has already been invented.

"Wife. I want my dinner right now."
