I remember when everyone, myself included, used to recommend them. Now I wouldn't even recommend them over dial up. Time to get some opinions on good isps atm I think. |

It's your latency that affects gaming, not the download speed. O.K here's my 2cents on WorldXChange a.k.a XNET. Been a user since late 2007. VFX plan. From 6am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday(forget Sunday), it rocks!!! You can download anything fast as. Streaming videos on Youtube, not a problem. Download speed up to 350~400kb/sec. After 6pm to 12am and so on, OH MY!! Talking about attack of the giant LAG monsters. Speeds are slow. Forget about youtube @ night, may as well go read a book or watch TV. Joining a server and play online games like Counter-strike, it's o.k, no problem but hosting 10 players game like War3 Dota, NO WAY!!!! :( Everyone complaints about LAG and SPIKE! "NOOB host, don't host again!! ur net is crap etc.... .... " -_- Thinking about changing isp again. May be Snap or TelstraClear. Forget Telecom... |

AFAIK in Nelson they only have ADSL1, so it's worth contacting Vodafone and having them contact Telecom to complain of congestion, as Vodafone will probably be online wholesaling the same connection you get with Telecom. | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||
