1115398 2010-07-02 06:37:00 Hi all,
Just wondering if I am correct to buy the following RAM:
www.elive.co.nz

This is for a HP desktop that runs windows XP (Celeron Processor) and currently has two sticks of DDR400 (2.5) 512 MX16 installed.

How can I find out the maximum amount of ram that this computer can cope with? It appears that there are still two free slots on the motherboard.

Cheers,
-John.

1115400 2010-07-02 06:55:00 You could probably find it cheaper.
Such as www.zcom.co.nz

That could be the ticket, but not much spec info about it on that website.

Found out the full details of original RAM:
PC3200 Synch Dram Non-ECC DDR400 512Mb (x2) Installed.

Apparently I will have to match the sizes (Mb capacity) to get best results and install in pairs. So, I am best to buy two more 512Mb sticks.
