827496 2009-11-05 23:07:00 At least while he is deeply nose down in the trough he is out of the country, that is a blessing indeed. R2x1 (4628)
827497 2009-11-05 23:16:00 I would have done the same thing myself.
Big choice:
1. Stupid boring unnecessary meeting in Brussels
2. Have a look around Paris
He is an ok MP. just a bit rough around the edges. Good ally of National now.
These trips are junkets anyway so he just didn't care about pretences.

827498 2009-11-06 01:35:00 Considering he's paid to be out at that boring meeting in Brussels (And a damn fine pay packet I'd imagine he gets too!), he needs to simply suck it up and get over it.

If you're paid to take trolleys in to Pak n Save or to be an MP, doesn't matter if you think you could be off doing better things, that's not what you're paid for, and certainly when it's the taxes of the general public that pay your wages!

Foul language like that from somebody who is supposed to be a leader, and leaders by definition are required to set an example for those under their authority, something that neither him nor Mr Hide or Mr Carter are particularly good at.

There should be zero tolerance for such poor behavior. Yes we will churn through politicians like nobodies business but they're there to do a job. If they are too incompetent then they need to be moved along!
