| 826815 | 2009-11-03 04:19:00 | "..and that's NOT counting the copies NOT installed yet!" (www.channelregister.co.uk) So far they've DOUBLED their share since it was about 1.73% at the first of last month (NZ= October). And further - "that does indeed mean Microsoft's total share has dropped over the course of this year, with the Mac OS the biggest gainer. And, at this rate, Jobs' baby will take its rightful place at the top of the chart in a mere century or two." |

| 826818 | 2009-11-03 04:36:00 | So why not carry on with your version of Linux? "Carry on" in US-lingo means to rant and rave non-intelligently about something trivial or non-existent . I'm using PCLOS rather successfully right now - at least it hasn't set my MOBO on fire - yet . This is also not a trivial thing - at least to me! I just want to get G-Talk and a few other things line "wine" to run - somehow so I can run some file associations that I use in classes I take . They need an NT-base and I want to run them in PCLOS . Digressing, however - I CAN carry on just a little if you like; I have been accused of being a professional at it . /digression |

So you want to install Linux so you can run programs or applications designed for windows using wine which runs under linux. Then you can spend more time learning a cli interface so you can turn the whole deal into an interface that suits you by recompiling kernals etc. Have fun. |
