What facilities do they have in these houses? Are they allowed to leave the prison to buy food and such? (Under supervision) Are they sometimes released into custody of their friend's or family for a day or weekend? (for good behavior) Low security... Are there rapists and murderers in "low security sections"? Do ask your dad and report back. Yes. Yes. It's pretty much a standard house, with 4 people living in there. There are normal cooking and cleaning facilities. Yes. Not as far as I am aware. Yes. |

| 826674 | 2009-11-05 08:26:00 | Not too sure about that mate, NZ doesnt appear to have punitive justice anymore, its all about rehabilitation, however the stupid idealistic liberals cant seem to understand, violent criminals will never attempt to change themselves until they are old and gray, least they themselves fall victim! I saw that socialist do gooder Garth McMinto of the Sensibull Sentencing Trust, admit that the death penalty didn't work as a deterrent sentence . He then argued that long sentences did work as a deterrent even though the death penalty didn't . So where does this leave us? Well apparently in Garth's illogical world, putting offenders in cosy motels with all the mod cons and a life of luxury, is more effective in deterring criminals than putting them to death . Go figure . |
