1115949 2010-07-07 08:27:00 Wow so many replies I appricate it. I was just wondering because I have oddles of money and just wondering whether I should sale it or upgrade it. Was thinking....

I have 8GB DDR2 800 MHZ which is fine.

HDD I dont use half the space so its fine.

Motherboard however I want to upgrade if need to be, but doubtful.
Power supply is good one year old.

The GPU is the XFX brand, not a BFG sadly, That I have been looking at GTX280's/ATI 5770+.

My case I love so no need to replace.

My processor is a good one I know but idk I want something i can noticbly tell is faster. Q9300 is good but how about a good X**** series or a Q9550.

*sigh*.... Any ideas?

1115950 2010-07-07 08:32:00 If you have "Oodles of money" then just do a full upgrade to the fastest i7 CPU, new motherboard, DDR3 RAM and a GTX480 (Or two!) - then upgrade the PSU as well to power those cards!

If you want best performance, you aren't going to get it with any parts you have now. You will be limited by something...

Actually, it was perfectly on topic, until you came along and posted that. Read stuff properly.

He updated and asked for ideas, I gave him one. That is not off-topic.

1115953 2010-07-07 19:25:00 Well I may have oodles . . hehe silly word but im also smart . I could get a new comp to fit what I'd like for billion dollars but idk .

A new mobo roughly 100 bucks
another card 80 bucks 9800 GTX+
PSU= 100-200 bucks,

looken at 300-500 bucks for the upgrade, or a new pc at 900+ but way stronger . Sigh im so indecisive .

Seel it, not sale it.

Upgrade it. Oodles of money means you can go Core i7 and get a high end GPU.
Why change parts you don't need to?

1115956 2010-07-07 23:04:00 This thread is a joke.

Methinks that:- You've hit the nail, right on the head, my friend. OP's first & only effort, to date. Doubt if we'll ever hear from them again !! :groan:

Guess you were wrong!

You didnt say what size monitor you have!

I wouldnt bother with a 2nd 9800GTX+, sell it and get a 470 or perhaps the new 460 coming out next week!
