826658 2009-11-03 01:11:00 As far as I am aware he only ever got sent back for breaching his parole conditions. He is obviously not on parole any more as it's been more than 7 years. I can't believe I had to spell that out for you. Oh wait, yes I can, it's Sweep. roddy_boy (4115)
826659 2009-11-03 01:17:00 Well I'm now sorry that I even bothered to reply to your post.

Rest assured it won't happen again.

BTW. What is "a aware"?

At least it was not an apostraphe mistake for which you may get a ticking off by a certain person on this forum.

826660 2009-11-03 01:19:00 Who said anything about consoles being used as weapons?

Sigh.. No one did. Well done qaz. I was trying to point out that you make this stuff up about prisoners being given gaming consoles.

Yes I know you didn't say they were given them, and yes they are allowed them, but if someone's been on good behaviour for 6 years and is in a low security section of the prison, should prison really still be hell on earth?

Feel free to reply, just don't ask such stupid questions.

826662 2009-11-03 01:25:00 He was 12 when he committed a crime for which he was sentenced to 7 years. He's now 20. You could use some basic maths tutoring if you can't figure out why he's not back in jail.

Because he is a criminal. He did assault his girlfriend before, too didn't he?
And got off on a technicality...

Not really, haven't had any first hand experience with them. My father has been a prison officer for a few years now though, so I've heard a few stories. None of which, incidentally, have involved the prisoner's allocated Xbox 360 or Wii being used as a weapon.

Ask daddy a few thing for me, are some prisoners allowed to work for minimum wage while in prison?

Are (some) prisoners given houses as opposed to cells?
What facilities do they have in these houses?

Are they allowed to leave the prison to buy food and such? (Under supervision)
Are they sometimes released into custody of their friend's or family for a day or weekend? (for good behavior)

and yes they are allowed them, but if someone's been on good behaviour for 6 years and is in a low security section of the prison, should prison really still be hell on earth?

Low security... Are there rapists and murderers in "low security sections"?

Do ask your dad and report back.

Hell yes. What sort of scum behaviour gets a person 6 years? Lock em up in a hole in the ground, feed em rats

826664 2009-11-03 01:34:00 Yeah right!!!

As I had no say in the fact that he was born in the first place then I should resign from society.

They give sex education in schools these days but would it not be better to give parenting lessons?

Perhaps if they listened to the education they would stop creating these spawn

826665 2009-11-03 01:38:00 Here we go for anyone who is interested.
Have a look, that place sounds better than most homes in Otara, not wonder people love prisons so much.

826666 2009-11-03 02:02:00 Hmmmm....

Thanks for the link.

Another off the same site is here:-

One would presume there are two less staff now at one of the prisons as two corrections officers were sent to prison themselves due to infractions of the law.

I note that in random drug tests some prisoners still test positive. Possibly as they may have connections on the outside who will supply.

826667 2009-11-03 02:38:00 The person to blame for all this is the judge, who continually bail these clowns and give them half baked sentences.
The judges are so out of touch with public sentiment when it comes to sentencing scum.

Not too sure about that mate, NZ doesnt appear to have punitive justice anymore, its all about rehabilitation, however the stupid idealistic liberals cant seem to understand, violent criminals will never attempt to change themselves until they are old and gray, least they themselves fall victim!
