1116438 2010-07-06 06:54:00 Was able to buy a legit copy of Office Enterprise 2007 just before retiring from my civilian job in Defence. Installed it, but didn't like the new learning curve it entailed from Office 2003. I kicked it out and went back to Office 2003. My wife still uses 2003 on the #2 computer. However, everyone seems to have bought new systems with Office 2007 on them, so I get many .docx files to process. Reluctently I have reinstalled Office 2007 back on the #1 computer. I have a problem in Word 7, and manuals I've bought together with the Help system are of no help at all with this problem. My custom dictionary is English(New Zealand). When I get red underlined words in a document (not in dictionary) right clicking them brings up some options. The one to "add to dictionary" is greyed out. For the life of me I can't find the place to turn it on. Can anyone out there help please? Sapperbro (6562)
1116439 2010-07-06 07:18:00 Click on the Windows logo orb thing at the top left and go to Word Options.
Have a look under Proofing - Custom Dictionaries and make sure there is a custom.dic on the list and that it is ticked.
If not then add one.

1116442 2010-07-06 09:51:00 Thank you Cyabro,
Had done all that already, but it doesn't fix the greyed-out problem. To all the others, I downloaded that programme some time ago but it never worked. A hellishingly large file.
