| 1115774 | 2010-07-04 08:23:00 | I have an ASUS laptop and I have a bios password when starting up. I was working online and doing some photo editing when I the internet page came up link broken. I closed and reopened chrome several times but each time it came up link broken. I rebooted my router but the same came up so I rebooted by laptop. However now it will not accept my bios password. Can anyone tell me what happened and how to reset my bios password. Thanks |

| 1115776 | 2010-07-04 08:34:00 | Chances are you can't reset the BIOS password without getting passed the BIOS password prompt, they are there for a reason. (Desktops are easy). You may need to contact ASUS and go through a bunch of stuff to prove its not stolen. | gcarmich (10068) | ||
| 1115777 | 2010-07-04 08:41:00 | Being a Laptop , you will have to disassemble it to remove the CMOS Battery. You can try This software (www.geckoandfly.com) (method 2) -- Burn the ISO file to a CD and see if it works (never tried it so its pot luck) |
