| 1115578 | 2010-07-03 06:54:00 | I use MS Outlook 2007 and have a query that hopefully someone may be able to guide me with. I use Recurring Tasks frequently. Tasks has a Next 7 Days View. I want to create a Next 5 Days View. I emailed Michael Linenburger who referred me to page 226 of his book (Total Workday Control 2nd Edition) but I have not seen it in NZ and do not want to have to buy it (Ive read his 1st Edition which has taught me a lot). Under the 7 days View I went into the Filters Section explored the 4 Tabs but could not find a way to change to Next 5 days. I went into the SQL tab and deleted the 7 (at the start) and replaced it with 5 but then got an error message error parsing your SQL Text. My reason for wanting a Next 5 Days view is that under the 7 Days View , when I mark a Recurring Task as Complete it immediately shows up with the next due date in 7 days time. With a 5 Days View option I would have the satisfaction of not seeing a task that I had just completed. |

In Filter under Tasks Tab using the "due" option one does not seem to be able to directly edit the various text modes -"in next 7 days" etc . I suspect they are hard coded(?) . (Excel has varios options hard coded too) . When one changes the option in there then the displayed string under the SQL Tab in Filter changes simultaneously . I am unaware of how to use SQL so wonder if when I changed the 7 (in the first line) to 5 then the" Error Parsing your SQL TExt" message arose because I was unable to change the text in the "due" option under the Tasks Tab in Filter . (or did I need to change another part of the SQL string as well?) |
