| 827384 | 2009-11-05 07:46:00 | Doing this is pobably not quite right, I should have added it to the other thread. But it was sooooo long. Metla came. Metla saw. Metla conquered. My computer was sick, now it is not. There were a number of problems & even tho Metla explained them to me, I have already forgotten. Except the one that Office Outlook was taking 50% =/- of the CPU. If you want to know more then ask him. Thankyyou Metla. PJ |

| 827386 | 2009-11-05 08:20:00 | It was outlook, When you closed the program it ramped up the CPU and stayed running. Also there was a desktop.ini in the startup folder that I believe was causing another of the office programs to launch on startup and then crash with errors. While this was happening MSE was using all the rest of the available resources , But once we got the rest of the issues smoothed it it seemed to settle down. There was also a small number of other redundant programs running on launch that I got rid of, And pretty much ditched every active-x and BHO on the system. And in return, I have been feasting like a king, I want to go start on the second pie but I'm still struggling to digest the first one. That was one mean pie. |
