1116981	2010-07-07 11:33:00	Hello All, I have 2 hosts, out of which 1 is ipv4-only node(server) & the other is ipv6-only node(client). I need to be able to establish a communication between these 2 nodes i.e. i should be able to access site hosted at ipv6-only node from client(ipv4-only node). The OS used are as follows:- ipv4-only node runs Windows 2008 server. ipv6-only node runs Windows Vista Home Premium. What settings do i need to arrange for in DNS? what extra components i need to introduce for this communication to take place? Thanks, Nikhil	nikhil.forums (15876)

1116986	2010-07-08 02:58:00	an IPV4 to IPV6 NAT would work but a more real world fix would be to juts install IPV4 or IPV6 or both devices. being that a large number of smaller devices (routers/printers) don't support IPV6 then I would just install IPV4 on both systems. however this looks like a homework problem which means they are looking for the NAT answer.	robsonde (120)
1116987	2010-07-08 07:35:00	Hello All, Thanks for such rapid replies. The thing is we need to set up various connection scenarios in our lab & take some observations as it is part of course lab. I am done with simplest part that is ipv4 to ipv4 communication & ipv6 to ipv6 communication. So is it basically possible to set up such connection scenario (ipv4-only to ipv6-only)? If yes then most probably i think w'll need some external component.(only a guess) It will be of great help if you guys can provide any links related with this. Thanks, Nikhil	nikhil.forums (15876)

We won't do your homework for you, but you may get some useful tips if you let us know where you're running into problems. You may also wish to read my earlier post - judging by what you've posted since, you haven't read it properly, as it mentions a couple of methods that would help.	Erayd (23)
