829227 2009-11-12 01:37:00 if i were to buy the car it would be a Toyota 2000GT

if i were to build the car - id build something that would make people question my sanity

id take the 1992 telstar i used to learn to drive in - and relocate the miserable excuse for an engine and gearbox as a doorstop

completley gut the car and rebuild the chassis and floor to accept a RWD drivetrain and put in the much more fun Mazda FE-DOHC thats been made evil by boring it to 2.2L putting in a set of angry cams and doing the internal work to support a SC14 Supercharger

obviously the whole car running gear wise would have to get turfed for much better kit and the end result when done right would be friggin fantastic but it would still be cheaper all up than to buy a 2000GT these days i would think :p

Nooooo, rice cracker car!....LOL, thats what you would do if money was no object?

I count 4 or 5 Aston Martin counts......!!!

829229 2009-11-12 03:00:00 I like the hand-formed fenders and the leather straps holding the hood and trunk closed.

I had a buddy with a 1960 Morgan and a 5.7L Chevy with a 4-speed. It was a red light bandit and very fast.

We never bother with turns here in the US. The only time we need to make turns is when we get to New York so we don't hit the ocean and have to turn around and drive back to SoCal.

As a coffe drinker, I would say that ALL Euro Cars from any one year's production are worth a cup of tea. A used cup of tea.

It's "going to be" more fun than err - half a jigsaw puzzle. But with a lot more puzzles to come.

It might be a lot of fun if somone you really detest bought one though ;) (With Lucas brakes)

The little problem of it not existing yet...

It's little brothers look just as fun though. Probably a bit safer, too.
