Just be prepared to do anything within reason that brings in a few $$. Who knows, you may even enjoy it. Let us know how you get on.
Goodluck,
Marnie

828561 2009-11-10 10:26:00 Well at least you live in auckland where there are more places to work!

Down here in Timaz its hard enough to get a part time job, let alone good hours!

828562 2009-11-10 19:23:00 Get a physical job. Hard work never did anyone any harm, especially young people.

828563 2009-11-11 00:42:00 The point of this thread was to see if any computer jobs were available. If I have to, there's a spot at Mitre 10. pcuser42 (130)
828564 2009-11-11 00:49:00 If you get offered a job take it.

It may not be what you want for a job but it is money in your pocket at the end of the day.

Exactly. ;)

Dad has said that if I do end up digging holes, he'd pay me considerably less than his other workers, which I take as being paid less than minimum wage.

828566 2009-11-11 03:24:00 But there again the other workers may be getting more than the minimum. Sweep (90)

They're contractors. Of course they are.

Depends - if the contractors are paid per hole, and they are slow, then their actual pay rate might be below the minimum wage.

828569 2009-11-11 05:32:00 They're paid per metre (of fence). pcuser42 (130)
