1117297 2010-07-11 07:12:00 Would this MATX board support all AMD AM3 CPU's and not just the types listed?

1117298 2010-07-11 07:57:00 It depends if the BIOS supports the CPU, youre going to install on the mobo. If it doesnt, you'll have to flash the BIOS so it'll work (with a lower spec CPU). You'll have to go to the GB site, to see what CPU's it supports, and what version of the BIOS needs to be on it, before it'll work Speedy Gonzales (78)
1117299 2010-07-11 08:09:00 Why not download the manual from here?

You also need to make sure the VRM can handle the load. Some of the smaller\cheaper boards are designed to work with only CPUs up to 95 Watts or so. The 125 and 140 Watt CPUs will burn the board in a few days.

Manuals don't usually have a CPU support list, or if they do, it will be very very out of date. There will be a CPU support list on the Gigabyte website if you want to know which CPUs are supported and by which BIOS revision.

Would video cards that take 2 slots be a complete no for space?

No, but you will lose the use of a slot, and on a mATX board there aren't many slots to begin with.

Large video cards have problems with length in smaller cases, however.

1117301 2010-07-11 12:13:00 The link I gave also gives BIOS revisions and what they are meant to solve as well re CPUs BTW. Snorkbox (15764)

Your instructions were for icow to download the manual, and as I said, that doesn't give the CPU support list.

Just making sure that he knew where to find the information he was looking for.
