1116857	2010-07-07 23:33:00	That's highly debatetable, Athlon 2 is "basically" just a Phenom 2 with 3MB cache. Yes it is the same core design but Athlon II X2 only supports up to DDR3-1066 officially. None of the Athlon II series have L3 cache. The X2 and X4 have 2MB L2, and the X3 has 1.5MB L2. None of them have 3MB cache. www.amd.com Phenom II all series have an L3 cache of 6MB. www.amd.com The Athlon II X2 has less bandwidth for memory and they would all have reduced performance due to no L3 Cache. Really $245 or less for a Quad core 3GHZ Phenom II is not a lot of money, over buying a $170 ish PII dual core.	Battleneter2 (9361)
