827921 2009-11-07 20:38:00 Seriously, you people want to take those kids over the coals for ‘bowing to a swastika’? If they were neo-Nazi then the sentiment is understood, however I believe that kids ‘disrespecting’ the swastika (and to an extent the entirety of Nazism) would have greatly offended Hitler as well as the rest of the Nazi party. What those kids did doesn’t have anything to do with Nazi ideals as far as I know, and Nazi ideals are what most of you are basing your opinions on. Fifthdawn (9467)
827922 2009-11-07 23:30:00 It was just a kids prank which went too far.
Are we losing our sense of humour these days?
Years ago I went to a dive club fancy dress piss up as an Oberst of the SS the uniform was genuine. And I won best dressed and a prize of piss everyone though it was a hoot.
Now days the media is quick to splash your piccy all over the media and make you out to be ****

827925 2009-11-08 03:14:00 A member of the Nazi Party achieved attention in 1939 by declaring the Lambeth Walk (which was becoming popular in Berlin) to be "Jewish mischief and animalistic hopping" as part of a speech on how the "revolution of private life" was one of the next big tasks of National Socialism in Germany.

In 1942, Charles A. Ridley of the British Ministry of Information made a short propaganda film, Lambeth Walk - Nazi Style, which edited existing footage of Hitler and German soldiers (taken from Leni Riefenstahl's Triumph of the Will) to make it appear they were marching and dancing to "The Lambeth Walk". The film so enraged Joseph Goebbels that reportedly he ran out of the screening room kicking chairs and screaming profanities. The propaganda film was distributed uncredited to newsreel companies, who would supply their own narration.

827926 2009-11-08 03:16:00 Dead ******* right Terry Spike and Sir Harry lampooned Hitler and people thought it was a hell of a joke.
There are too many over sensitive people around now, I just wish people wouldn't take life so seriously.

827927 2009-11-08 03:29:00 Then there was musical propaganda coming the other way, Charlie and his Orchestra, led by Karl Schwendler, apparently it was one of Churchill's favourites bands, designed to undermine moral, but probably did the opposite.

827930 2009-11-08 06:02:00 Its not illegal to bow in front of a swastika and its not an offence to deny the jewish holocaust in New Zealand. You would have to be a numbnuts to do either buts its not breaking the law. The commissioner is a foreigner anyway and does not know the act he is supposed to enforce.
Like the USA and England we really do have freedom of speech and expression.

Maybe not so much in the UK any longer. Heard on news last week that the Jewish holocaust has now been removed from the British school curriculum as it may offend Muslims who live in the UK who don't believe it ever happened..
