| 1117143 | 2010-07-08 05:04:00 | Hi Silly question - I just bought a laptop with a bluray combo drive. Unfortunately the dvd part only allows 5 region changes before locking. Obviously I'd like to get round this. My question is, will the methods that work for a similar dvd drive work for this one? The drive in questions is a Matshita UJ141AS. Thanks in advance |

| 1117145 | 2010-07-08 07:54:00 | I don't. I want to make it region free, rather than get it locked into one particular region. At the moment it allows the region to be changed five times, then it stays permanently at whatever the final one was. No use if you want to watch a DVD you bought off Amazon for instance. | BeShakey (15626) | ||
| 1117146 | 2010-07-08 08:02:00 | use MPC-HC with the k-lite mega codec pack or vlc and you won't have to worry about region code changes | GameJunkie (72) | ||
