| 1117848 | 2010-07-11 08:46:00 | Hi there guys, what I am after is any mobo which meet the following criteria: 1. socket 775. 2. cheap, very, very cheap. doesn't matter if it is second hand, as long as everything works. no fancy stuff needed, just the basics. 3. overclockable. as far as I understand some mobos doesn't give u the features to OC, so i got to make sure the one i choose can do so. I need it for testing new ways of cooling the cpu and ram, and other components, hence the OCing part, so components get hot :P...it needs to be cheap because if the new ways go wrong, i can replace the mobo without selling my kidney or one of my arms or somehing for money.. :P currently I am looking at these two on TM: FOXCONN 865PE7MC-S LGA775 MicroATX 865PE chipset, # 301380051 , $39 brand new and Intel D101GGC with Celeron D 3.06G, # 301527731 , $60 comes with a CPU, even better I know these two meets the first 2 criteria, but what about the third one, the OCable part? will they let me OC?? any other recommendations?? if any one of you guys has such a board and want to donate it to science (I am willing to pay, to a certain extent), please let me know :D thanks for the help guys |
